Hook Up Guide
This is a soldering kit that you can build yourself! The holes along the top of the board are LEGO compatible so you can add this kit into any of your various brick projects. You are welcome to create a derivative of this kit as long as it abides by the open source hardware definition.
This kit comes in five colors, white, red, green, blue, or yellow. The array of LEDs are driven by a MAX7219 and has all the appropriate pin outs to drive this board with an Arduino. There is even a pin out to daisy chain the boards together to make a larger array!
This kit does not include an Arduino!
This kit assumes you know how to solder. If not, there are plenty of online tutorials on how to solder. This kit takes approximately 30-45 minutes to assemble to the 49 LEDs that need to be soldered in.
